Daily Fantasy Football – Draftkings Week 12

Daily fantasy football continues to climb in popularity as jackpots have risen consistently and more fans are joining sites every week. Our weekly article showcases players to target at three general levels of value: The big dollar talent (Heavy Hitters), the average-priced contributors (Average Athletes), and the guys very questionable players at the bottom of the cost charts (Sneaky Sleepers). Our selected players are based on DraftKings values as that is our daily fantasy site of choice, but the values should translate fairly well to any other sites you may use. We don’t share specific lineups or optimized computer rankings, but we will give you some great .for you to consider. We set this breakdown up that way because while winning is great, a big part of the fun draw of daily fantasy is mixing and matching your lineups to see how you can maximize your team. That and the fact that we are trying to win the same way that you are, and quite frankly, we don’t want our readers to all have the same exact lineups.

NFL Week 11 Recap

Another great week of DFS as we had players light it up at all different price points. There were so many nice performances we’ll save the recap for below highlighting those that got us paid and a couple that didn’t get it done. Our Star of the Week was a disappointment as Terry McLaurin had a “nice” game, but was nowhere near as dominant as we had anticipated. A head coach will gladly take 5 catches and 84 yards, but a daily fantasy football player can’t have that happen when featured.

Ceedee Lamb shined as an affordable WR option with this magnificent grab

Let’s take a deeper dive into who got it done and who couldn’t make it happen:

Who Made Us Look Brilliant?
  • Justin Herbert – 366 Yards Passing, 11 Yards Rushing, 3 Total TDs
  • Keenan Allen – 145 Yards Passing, 1 Total TD
  • Dalvin Cook – 115 Yards Rushing, 45 Yards Receiving, 1 Total TD
  • Mark Andrews – 96 Yards Receiving, 1 Total TD
  • Mike Davis – 64 Yards Rushing, 15 Yards Reciving, 1 Total TD
  • Cam Newton – 365 Yards Passing, 6 Yards Rushing, 1 Total TD
  • Justin Jefferson – 86 Yards Receiving, 1 Total TD
  • Taysom Hill – 233 Yards Passing, 51 Yards Rushing, 2 Total TDs
  • CeeDee Lamb – 34 Yards Receiving, 12 Yards Rushing, 1 Total TD
Who Made Us Look Foolish?
  • Hayden Hurst – 0 Yards Receiving, 0 Total TD
  • Adrian Peterson – 18 Yards Rushing, 0 Total TD
  • Nyheim Hines – 2 Yards Rushing, 31 Yards Receiving, 0 Total TD

NFL Week 12

STAR OF THE WEEK:

Nick Chubb has picked up where he left off before his injury for the Cleveland Browns

We tried our hand with a Cleveland Browns running back earlier this season as our Star of the Week and had average results. This time we’re trying a different Browns back as we’re riding the powerful running of Nick Chubb on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. He’s not as talked about as the Derrick Henrys of the world, but Chubb is an absolute monster with the ball in his hands. The Jaguars have been run over repeatedly this season and have some of their defensive players banged up to make this an even nicer matchup for Chubb. He’ll give some snaps away to Kareem Hunt, but he should still have a very big day in this game.

Going beyond Chubb, we’d recommend building your roster with Dalvin Cook again. He’s the surest thing right now in fantasy football and with Adam Thielen potentially out on the COVID list, Cook may get even more work against a vulnerable Panthers defense. Our rosters will feature Cook and Chubb, and we’ll mix in the quarterbacks and wide receivers tandems that fit the bill. Those players we’re targeting our listed here:
