Ryan Blaney’s third win of the 2026 campaign added more fuel to Team Penske’s momentum heading into The Chase. Plus it sealed the Regular Season Championship for Denny Hamlin, who gets a big leg up in the Cup Series Championship hunt. 13 of the 16 postseason berths are now spoken for after the New Hampshire race, leaving just three unpunched tickets. Bubba Wallace, Austin Cindric, and SVG currently sit on the right side of the cut line while Ryan Preece and Brad Keselowski have their work cut out for themselves. Bubba is effectively in The Chase while Brad needs a ton of help to get there.
The 2026 Coke Zero 400 gets a shot in the arm with a shorter spoiler and less drag intended to accommodate more passing. Anything to accommodate jumping out of line to pass is greatly appreciated! Add that to the diminished benefits of fuel savings to yield more exciting racing at Daytona. As for Mother Nature, well, it is Florida in the summer after all. Evaluating comps for Daytona is about as straightforward as it gets. Talladega is the primary comp and Atlanta is the secondary with lower weighting. As always, look to the ifantasyrace.com Similar Track Guide for a head start with your comps.

Our power ratings plot has the typical superspeedway characteristics of capped ceilings and loose comp connections. Defending Daytona summer race winner Ryan Blaney lies at the higher end of our ratings, as does 2026 Daytona 500 winner Tyler Reddick. You’ll note that there is no current form factored into the mix for Daytona – or any of the superspeedway/drafting races – since we underweight that aspect significantly here. Volatility goes up in the draft, so our betting unit size comes down. Enjoy the race and get ready for next weekend’s crown jewel Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway!
