2025 Season Recap:
The 2025 season was very fruitful for PropCorner, with the site posting a solid 59-43 mark on the year resulting in a unit gain of over 14.25. This marked the 6th time in our 7 seasons on betcrushers.com of securing season-long profit for PropCorner. We continued a decent run for some additional winnings in the postseason, as NFL player props continue to treat us well.
Week 1 Preview:
Bragging about the past means nothing, as it’s all about starting fresh and looking to get out of the gate fast in the 2026 NFL regular season. As we generally do, we are starting a little lighter as we gauge how offseason changes and a new season will unfold. Normally our Prop Corner drops on Friday, (with the occasional Thursday or Saturday), however with some early kickoffs and plenty of time to research, we’re rolling things out early to include some plays on the opening games of the week. We’ve got 5 tickets in play, with one under the radar quarterback, and a couple of fades and backs of familiar running back names. Pace yourself friends, it’s going to be a long and hopefully profitable season!
Our Picks:
Rhamondre Stevenson – Under 59.5 Yards Rushing (-115)

Apparently oddsmakers and the public believe the slate is truly wiped clean heading into a new year. How else can you explain a barely field goal point spread between two teams that finished the year in one of the least competitive games we’ve seen in a while? That extends to the rushing total for Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Yes, all signs appear to him holding off the more explosive Treveyon Henderson as running back 1a in the New England backfield, but that doesn’t guarantee a great performance in week one. The Seahawks defense is legit, as we saw, holding Stevenson to just 23 yards on only 7 carries. Sure, the Pats undoubtedly learned some things and will adjust a bit, but asking Stevenson to get 60 yards in that environment against that defense is asking a whole heck of a lot. The Seahawks were dominant in stopping the run, allowing only 3.5 yards per carry to opponents last year, and return the core pieces from that defense. If the Patriots are unable to sustain offense again, the attempts will be limited for Stevenson. And for what it’s worth, don’t be shocked if we do see Henderson getting some more snaps this season. Game script could certainly come into play if the Seahawks find similar success in this home matchup with the “12’s” behind them. This isn’t necessarily shade on Stevenson for the season, it’s just a tough spot for him to start the year, and seems like a great shot to fade him.
Christian McCaffrey – Over 38.5 Yards Receiving (-115)

Is this the year that Christian McCaffrey finally starts to regress as an NFL running back? After all, he didn’t even hit 4 yards per carry during the 2025 season. The short answer for us is, we have to see it to believe it. McCaffrey found very limited running lanes a year ago, as teams were focused on stopping him before he could get started. As a result, he and the offensive gameplan shifted towards getting him the ball in more space as a receiver, something he absolutely dominates at doing. Yes, the Niners have some new weapons like Mike Evans, and some returning weapons like Deebo Samuel to involve in the offense, but there’s no doubt McCaffrey is still the engine that makes them go. Now the team has to take on a Rams defense that has a pass rush featuring two of the top 10 defenders in NFL history on the same defensive line. That means that there will likely be some planned short passes for McCaffrey, as well as some check down opportunities available for him. If the Rams end up being as good as many people think they will be it’s also possible the 49ers might be in some needed passing situations in the second half of the game. All of this favors McCaffrey being able to get to 40+ receiving yards after he averaged nearly 50 per game a year ago. Speaking of a year ago, it’s worth pointing out that in his 2 matchups against the Rams he caught a combined 19 passes for nearly 150 yards. Yes, you can certainly look at grabbing his over 4.5 receptions as well. Call it whatever you want, we’ll call it going back to the well with a bet that was very profitable last season.
Blake Corum – Over 38.5 Yards Rushing (-115)

The Los Angeles Rams made a concerted effort in getting running back Blake Corum more touches in the 2025 season, and he rewarded them averaging over 5 yards per carry. Of course the running lanes are a little wider when you have the triangle of Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams loosening things up with the passing game. That should be the case again versus the 49ers in the opener, and Corum should see plenty of volume as he and starter Kyren Williams are seemingly more platoon splitting than ever heading into the 2026 campaign. Beginning in week 13 of last year, Corum saw at least 12 carries in every game but one, and eclipsed 47 yards rushing in 7 of the last 8 regular season games he played. The Rams are favored in this contest, and face a Niners defense that ranked in the bottom third in major rushing metrics. In fairness, they were missing some big pieces on their defense, so there should be some improvement here, but we’re happy to play the numbers game with Corum in the opener.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt – Under 42.5 Yards Rushing (-115)

Jacory (Bill) Croskey-Merritt came out of nowhere to explode on the running back scene a season ago as a rookie, and delivered an up and down campaign. When it all shook out, the youngster put up some really solid numbers, topping 800 yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry and scoring 8 touchdowns on the ground. He’s back in line to lead the Commanders backfield again this season, although it will be interesting to see how much work former Buccaneers running back Rachaad White gets in this offense. White will steal some third down work for sure, the question is really if he’ll get some touches on obvious running downs? For now, let’s assume Croskey-Merritt is going to be the lead back and pace the Washington offense on the ground. He’s got his work cut out for him as he’ll be playing behind what could best be described as a “shaky” offensive line to start the year. Veteran Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil was supposed to be the pillar for this unit, but he’s unfortunately on the shelf for an undetermined amount of time, making this starting five very unproven. That’s not ideal when taking on a nasty divisional opponent like the Philadelphia Eagles. Even in what was probably a bit of a disappointing campaign for Philly, they still were able to put the clamps on the Commanders in their two meetings, and in particular Croskey-Merritt and the running game. In fact, two of his worst performances came against the Eagles as he combined for just 53 yards on 21 carries in the two meetings. As always with the running backs, we have to consider game script as well, as the Eagles are roughly 5 point favorites and could be leading in the second half of this game, potentially taking Crosky-Merritt either off the field, or at least moving him to more of a blocker/receiver. It’s not a high rush total, but considering he would have barely broken it in two games last year, we’ll fade him breaking it in just one game in week number one.
Jacoby Brissett – Over 227.5 Yards Passing (-115)

We all understand the Arizona Cardinals are probably not a playoff team this year, but they could be one of the feistier groups week in and week out. This offense has some talent, and quarterback Jacoby Brissett is not afraid to sling it. The offense may be centered around rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, but this Arizona unit will be able to throw the football. In addition to having arguably the top tight end in the league in Trey McBride, they boast a very underrated tandem of receivers with Michael Wilson, and former high draft pick Marvin Harrison, Jr. They’ll take on the Los Angeles Chargers in the opener in a matchup where they sit as double-digit underdogs, in a game the sportsbooks clearly don’t anticipate being too close. If they’re right, that means a lot of catch up play, and potentially some garbage yards for Brissett in an effort to lead their team from behind. The truth of the matter is, the Cardinals, much like a year ago, should be in some shootouts again as their defense could continue to struggle. That certainly figures to be the case for them against the Chargers offense in week one. Brissett’s passing total number sits as 227.5, which honestly feels about 25 yards too low based on history as well as how this game may play out. Let’s take a look back at the last 10 games Brissett played a year ago. His yardage totals read: 249, 271, 301, 317, 452, 258, 261, 279, and 320, respectively. What do all of those have in common? They’re well above 227.5. It’s a new season, with a new running attack, but everything sure seems to line up for an over on this play, certainly enough for us to give it a shot.
