Daily fantasy football continues to climb in popularity as jackpots have risen consistently and more fans are joining sites every week. Our weekly article showcases players to target at three general levels of value: The big dollar talent (High-Priced Heroes), the average-priced contributors (He’s so “Mid”), and the guys very questionable players at the bottom of the cost charts (Bargain Basement). Yes, for our longtime readers, we did change the titles of our tiers. Our selected players are based on DraftKings values as that is our daily fantasy site of choice, but the values should translate fairly well to any other sites you may use. We don’t share specific lineups or optimized computer rankings, but we will give you some great candidates for you to consider. We set this breakdown up that way because while winning is great, a big part of the fun draw of daily fantasy is mixing and matching your lineups to see how you can maximize your team. That and the fact that we are trying to win the same way that you are, and quite frankly, we don’t want our readers to all have the same exact lineups.
NFL Week 12 Recap
If there’s a week where you could have tailed almost any of our suggestions and cashed in, this may have been one of those. We grabbed a lot of the week’s top performers at every position, including the higher priced talent and the lower priced sleepers. If we are being picky, our Star of the Week was good, if not spectacular, as Michael Pittman, Jr. did snag 10 balls and go over 100 yards, but failed to find the end zone. Still with 20+ points, structured the right way, your lineups should have performed pretty well. Our biggest gamble was going back to Kyren Williams off of injury, but he rewarded us big time. It’s a lengthy list, but we’ll never complain about listing out the players we rocked out with.

NFL Week 13 Preview
When you look at the total slate for week thirteen it’s pretty apparent there is going to be a lot of similar players rostered across the league. These can be difficult weeks as it’s hard to not have FOMO, while also trying to pick your spots to gain some ground. One thing we know we’ll be doing for certain is going cheap at the running back position. There are several options priced in the $5,000 to $6,300 range that are very appealing, meaning we can spend our money at other positions. As we head towards December, keep an eye on the weather as well. We know the Dolphins can put up some points, but if the weather is windy and rainy in D.C. they could be risky plays. The stacking is a little tough this week also, although in one of those rare instances, you may be able to play multiple running backs from the same team. See below.
Before we highlight our three levels of talent, let’s look at our projected star of the week:
STAR OF THE WEEK:
For the majority of the season the Pittsburgh Steelers offense has looked downright pathetic, ranking near the bottom of the league. As a result, offensive coordinator Matt Canada was relieved of his duties, and the team responded with their best offensive performance since Ben Roethlisberger was playing QB. Lost in that early mess was really the one bright spot of the offensive unit, running back Jaylen Warren. The young back runs with purpose and shows a burst that not many at the position seem to possess. Warren actually looked poised to take a pretty nice hold of the Steelers backfield, that is until Najee Harris finally showed some pop of his own in their win last week against the Bengals. Even with the nice performance from Harris, Warren will still get plenty of opportunities in the Pittsburgh attack, both running and receiving. The Cardinals will be traveling across the country after a beatdown via the Rams last week and you have to wonder how interested their poor defense is going to be in tackling physical running backs? Kyren Williams just diced them up both running and catching the football, and he was fresh off of an injury. With Warren commanding a price tag of just $5,400, he’s a piece you can build your lineups around.
