Daily fantasy football continues to climb in popularity as jackpots have risen consistently and more fans are joining sites every week. Our weekly article showcases players to target at three general levels of value: The big dollar talent (High-Priced Heroes), the average-priced contributors (He’s so “Mid”), and the guys very questionable players at the bottom of the cost charts (Bargain Basement). Yes, for our longtime readers, we did change the titles of our tiers. Our selected players are based on DraftKings values as that is our daily fantasy site of choice, but the values should translate fairly well to any other sites you may use. We don’t share specific lineups or optimized computer rankings, but we will give you some great candidates for you to consider. We set this breakdown up that way because while winning is great, a big part of the fun draw of daily fantasy is mixing and matching your lineups to see how you can maximize your team. That and the fact that we are trying to win the same way that you are, and quite frankly, we don’t want our readers to all have the same exact lineups.
NFL Week 14 Recap
We had a few nice pieces in our week 14 DFS lineups, but overall it was an unsuccessful Sunday. Scoring as a whole was fairly low, but there were a handful of players you really wanted to have in your lineups to win, and we didn’t really have them. Our biggest whiff was on our Star of the Week, something we’ve so consistently hit on all season up to this point. Zack Moss disappointed a lot of owners with his less than average numbers on Sunday. He certainly had his opportunities with three carries inside the five yard line during the game, but was unable to punch even one TD to salvage what would have still just been a mediocre stat line. With Moss putting up a dud, it didn’t really matter who else we had him paired with, and most of those guys stunk too. There were a couple of nice sleeper hits, but all in all, a weekend we’d like to forget as we forge ahead in the season.

NFL Week 15 Preview
The running backs are king this week as there is some high-priced talent that is almost certainly going to ball out. The question is, where are the bargain wide receivers and maybe a tight end that allows the premium spending at the RB position? One thing is for sure, there are two seemingly obvious choices at quarterback that will also help your budget. And realistically, they’re probably the top two stack options for the weekend as well. In case you couldn’t figure them out on your own, they’re both members of the NFC West. OK fine, we’ll give you at least one of them here as our featured player of the weekend.
Before we highlight our three levels of talent, let’s look at our projected star of the week:
STAR OF THE WEEK:
The Los Angeles Rams are quietly putting together a nice season in contending for a playoff berth in the NFC. As long as Sean McVay has quarterback Matthew Stafford and some capable wideouts, this offense is going to move the ball and score points. Stafford is coming off one of the best performances against the stingy Baltimore Ravens defense we’ve seen all season. He missed a game earlier in the year, which is the only thing keeping him out of the top 10 in the league in yards and touchdowns. His matchup this Sunday should be a lot more favorable against a Washington Commander team that recently canned their defensive coordinator and seems to have really packed things in on that side of the football. After trading away their starting edge rushers, the team is now really lacking talent, especially in stopping the pass. The Commanders are ranked 31st at allowing points to opposing quarterbacks, and Stafford is priced at just $6,000, making him the 11th most affordable quarterback option. In a week when the top QB options have some difficult matchups, we’re looking to Stafford and his teammates to carry the load in our lineups.
