Daily Fantasy Football – Draftkings Week 14

Daily fantasy football continues to climb in popularity as jackpots have risen consistently and more fans are joining sites every week. Our weekly article showcases players to target at three general levels of value: The big dollar talent (Heavy Hitters), the average-priced contributors (Average Athletes), and the guys very questionable players at the bottom of the cost charts (Sneaky Sleepers). Our selected players are based on DraftKings values as that is our daily fantasy site of choice, but the values should translate fairly well to any other sites you may use. We don’t share specific lineups or optimized computer rankings, but we will give you some great .for you to consider. We set this breakdown up that way because while winning is great, a big part of the fun draw of daily fantasy is mixing and matching your lineups to see how you can maximize your team. That and the fact that we are trying to win the same way that you are, and quite frankly, we don’t want our readers to all have the same exact lineups.

NFL Week 13 Recap

Hopefully you were one of the folks that had Baker Mayfield in your starting lineups, as you don’t need to review our players to see that we did not. It was a little bit of a strange week overall but another profitable one for the BetCrushers. Our list below of players that made us look good was pretty lengthy, which we love. We went heavy with running backs which worked out ok, and having Darren Waller at tight end helped. In fact, for a change, the tight end position was fruitful, and we had the correct plays there. It was at the wide receiver position where we struggled despite having some great players listed, as Cooper Kupp had a very pedestrian performance scoring just 15 fantasy points. Not that 15 points is terrible, but we were banking on him to lead the charge at receiver for us and it simply didn’t work out. The best quarterback play that we had was Taysom Hill, who simply finds ways to get things done as he threw a couple of touchdowns and ran it hard.

Taysom Hill tossed his first two touchdowns as the starting quarterback for the Saints

In addition to Cupp, we got burned by Justin Herbert as the Chargers were embarrassed in all facets in their loss to the Patriots. While we didn’t roster him as we were loaded up on the marquee running backs, Miles Sanders was another player that really disappointed in what should have been a nice matchup for him. Doug Pederson inexplicably didn’t really utilize Sanders after the first drive which made him a bust for a lot of people. After a lot of big weeks, we’ll have to live with a mediocre week thirteen as we look ahead to this Sunday.

NFL Week 14

STAR OF THE WEEK:

Ryan Tannehill is one of several Titans you’ll want to consider rostering this Sunday

There are a couple of teams this week that have multiple really juicy options headed up by the Tennessee Titans. Coming off of a bad loss at home, Ryan Tannehill looks to bounce back against division doormat Jacksonville. The one problem for the Titans is that the Jags have not been a pushover the last few weeks playing teams extremely tough. That’s good news for Tannehill owners as he should need to play and throw for a full four quarters. There are a lot of quarterbacks lined up for big point days, but at just $6,700, Tannehill is someone we’ll be starting at the QB slot.

There’s a few teams worth keying in on this week, the previously mentioned Titans being one of them. Don’t think twice about having Tannehill, Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown and or Corey Davis in your lineups. The Vikings receiving tandem of Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, along with their QB Kirk Cousins are worth a play as well in a game where Dalvin Cook may struggle. From the BetCrushers perspsective, there’s about a dozen key guys to mix and match this weekend. Here’s who we’re eyeing:
